Potassium Pyroantimonate is the best choice for the cross-linker of packaged water gel or slurry system explosives. It delays gelation time, so the solids can be easily dispersed and give enough time for packing. It becomes complete gel after packing. Using an antimony based cross linker has been proven to improve stability and consistency of the explosive slurry, thermo chemical energy efficiency, safety degree in high velocity impact testes, velocity of detonation and water resistance.

Applications

Potassium Pyroantimonate is the best choice for the crosslinker of packaged water gel or slurries systems explosives. The crosslinker must delay gelation so that solids can be easily dispersed and the slurry can be packed but then rapidly and completely gel after packing. The crosslinker must also be easily dispersed into the system. Using an antimony based crosslinker has been proven to improve stability and consistency of the explosive slurry, thermo chemical energy efficiency, safety degree in high velocity impact tests, velocity of detonation, and water resistance. Water solution of nitrates blended with guar gum and a crosslinker and then mixed with solid oxidizers and packaged with a fuel source.

With our in-house developed manufacturing route, we overcame the difficulties encounter in making PPA soluble. Sippa-L is liquid antimony cross-linker system. It is used as alternative of Potassium Pyroantimonate powder.


It is completely miscible in water, which gives flexibility in gelling time, also allows to use higher PPA concentration.

 SIPPA®-70 is a specialised grade of antimony trisulfide, fully complied with MIL-SPEC (US military specifications) of antimony trisulfide for military ammunition and pyrotechnics. Being very high density, it provides very high energy per unit volume compare to conventional antimony trisulfide make it suitable for making explosives, military and defence ammunitions. Our antimony trisulfide is produced via proprietary process and having very low impurity profile. We also offer fine black powder in 325 mesh size (45 micron, 1.6-1.8 g/cc) for brake lining and tribology, explosive grades high density powder, 2.4-2.6 g/cc), granules (customised size from 70-200 mesh as per MIL-SPEC) and lumps (0.5-3 inch).

Antimony potassium tartrate, also known as potassium antimonyl tartratepotassium antimontarterate, or emetic tartar. It has the formula K2Sb2(C4H2O6)2, M.W. is 667.87 g/mol and CAS no: 28300-74-5. It is water soluble double salt of potassium and antimony of tartaric acid.
